you're right the colours are a little saturated but thats ok. I reckon the explosions could have a little more heat to em. especially in the centre where they could have some nice near whites.
probably the things thats bugging me most is the airbrushed feel to it all and that you've pretty much reached the point where you dont have any need for the line art and yet you've kept it in. try using a harder brush and really tighten up the edges and you wont need the lineart anymore.
also the background is fighting for position with the main focus which is no doubt the mecha in the foreground. maybe try desaturating the bg a bit more and lightening it a little.
and lastly (as if i havent been talking and annoying enough) try not to use black when you're placing your shadows because they rarely are black. Say if you have a red on the mecha there then in the shadowed areas the colour would be a more saturated red.
On the other hand, even though I was really proud of this one, I should probably focus on newer and better things...

As a test, try importing and resaving it using a different application, or use a different image format (high-quality JPEG, TIFF, etc.), then upload it again.
